A Will is a written document that allows you to do the following:

- Determine who will receive your assets after your debts and expenses are paid
- Appoint a personal representative to administer your estate
- Appoint a guardian and/or conservator for a minor child

If you do not create a Will, the State of Michigan will make these decisions for you. By creating a Will, you control these decisions.

Don't let the State make these important decisions. At a minimum, everyone should have a Will. Depending on your situation, a Trust may benefit you as well.
