Quiet Title Lawsuits
Disputes about the ownership and rights to real estate are not uncommon. These disputes can arise as a result of mistakes in previous sales transactions, errors in documentation, actions by various interested persons, or problems or inaccuracies in real estate descriptions and measurements. These types of legal issues include disputes over boundaries, easements, land use rights, and general ownership rights.
Unfortunately, not all of these disputes can be resolved amicably and even those than can be resolved short of a trial require proper legal documentation to ensure the issue is resolved once and for all.
A quiet title action is a civil lawsuit in circuit court to establish or extinguish rights in real property. If you have a dispute regarding the ownership or extent of rights in real estate, Curtis, Curtis & Brelinski, P.C.'s property lawyers can assist you.
