LuAnn Tokarski
Update: After over a decade at our firm, and many years with other law firms in Jackson, LuAnn has officially retired as of January 23, 2025. While we will miss her, we wish her all the best in this next stage of life.
LuAnn Tokarski joined our firm in 2014, bringing with her over 15 years of legal and office management experience working with other lawyers in Jackson County, Michigan. She currently assists attorney Brad A. Brelinski, and also leads our Collections and Landlord-Tenant teams, among other administrative responsibilities. She is a certified notary public in the State of Michigan.
Prior to joining Curtis, Curtis & Brelinski, P.C., LuAnn worked for nearly 13 years for a successful and well-regarded family law attorney in Jackson, where she provided legal support with every aspect of a family law matter, including divorces with and without minor children, child support and custody disputes, spousal support issues, separate maintenance (legal separation), complex property and debt division, post-judgment enforcement and disputes, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and any other domestic litigation situations.
LuAnn was born and raised in Jackson County and graduated near the top of her class at Michigan Center High School. She earned her associate degree, summa cum laude, in legal administrative assistant studies from Baker College, where she was named to the President's List and Dean's List.
She is most proud to be the mom of three fantastic young men. She was deeply involved in various organizations and activities while raising her boys, including the Cub Scouts of America (Pack treasurer and Assistant Den Leader), youth ice hockey (team treasurer and party organizer), and assisting with their wrestling teams.
In her time away from the office, LuAnn enjoys crafting, experimenting with new dessert recipes, crafting new flavored liquors, and reading anything by author Stephen King. She is a proud super-fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. And most importantly, she spends as much time as possible with her four wonderful grandchildren.
