Dismissal Obtained in Land Contract Forfeiture Case

Our clients were sued in District Court in a land contract forfeiture case, where the Plaintiff alleged that the Defendants had defaulted on a land contract. We filed an answer with affirmative defenses that the land contract was actually paid in full, and the Defendants were entitled to a deed in fulfillment, which the Plaintiff had not provided despite having received all payments on the land contract. We obtained proof and provided it to opposing counsel, and soon thereafter, Plaintiff agreed to dismiss the case and provide a deed to the Defendants.
