High Asset and Business Interest Divorce Resolved in Jackson County

A Michigan business owner retained our law firm to file a rather complex divorce with minor children action after his marriage broke down. We obtained an ex-parte order related to child custody and parenting time prior to going to the Friend of the Court, conducted discovery and litigated the case, and ultimately settling it mid-way through trial testimony. The divorce case involved many unique and valuable assets, including a minority interest in a profitable business, investments in hedge funds, private equity, precious metals, and others. We were able to negotiate and craft a settlement allowing our client to maintain full ownership of his business interests without taking on any additional outside debt.
