Trucker Charged with Bypassing Grass Lake Scales Obtains Dismissal of Criminal Charge

We routinely represent commercial truck drivers travelling through Jackson County on I-94. One CDL driver was charged with bypassing the Grass Lake, Michigan scales along with other charges. It is a misdemeanor to bypass the scales. We convinced the Prosecutor's Office to dismiss the misdemeanor charge in exchange for a civil infraction that does not affect the trucker's driving record, or his employment.
