Philip J. Curtis is the managing attorney of Curtis & Curtis, P.C. He concentrates his practice in a broad spectrum of legal areas, including business and corporate law; employee benefits; employment law and relations; estate planning; tax; probate, trust and estate administration; and real estate.
Mr. Curtis is a corporate attorney with an emphasis on transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, the purchase and sale of businesses, business reorganizations, business succession/exit planning, complex real estate transactions, and employee benefits. He represents and counsels many family owned and closely held companies in Jackson and throughout mid-Michigan, ranging from a few employees to hundreds.
Mr. Curtis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1967. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Wayne State University Law School in 1970. He has been practicing law in Jackson, Michigan with Curtis & Curtis, P.C. since 1970. He is actively involved in the local community, serving on the boards of the Purple Rose Theatre and the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.
