Real Estate Lawsuit Settled Favorably After Uncovering Contradictory Evidence

Our real estate litigation team, led by Brad A. Brelinski, was retained by a local property owner who was sued for over $25,000.00 in the Jackson County Circuit Court for alleged fraud and violation of the Seller's Disclosure Act in relation to the sale of a residential property in Jackson County. We vigorously defended the case as we believed it had no merit. While the case was pending and making its way through the discovery process, we uncovered some contradictory information and evidence against the opposing party, and used it to negotiate a favorable settlement for a fraction of the initial settlement demand in exchange for a dismissal of the case so our clients could move on.
